Here, I am again
looking in
a crystal ball of
yesterdays
black rain took all away
there is no today
from the sky
the asteroid came
black rain from yesterday
golden dreams
washed away
when tidal waves came to play
black rain took all away
there is no today
asteroids ate butterflies
nuclear winter
a great surprise
dust, like blankets
killed the trees
ate everything but memories
black rain came down
swallowed every town
and Eliot didn’t lie
about how the world will die
he said:
‘This is how the world will end
not with a bang… but with whimper’
Can you hear it whisper…
