She said dreams are but shattered glass
She painted pictures in grey
She faded and was spirited away

And she filled the glasses with tears
And she danced for all those years
on music only she could hear

She gave me illumination
She was my Childhood Opium

She gave me cuts and bruises
She was my Childhood Opium

Life swallowed her whole
Her gentle soul
She was a dream in scarlet the day I found her but,
my Childhood Opium is gone.
